HC & FS International is a Calgary, Canada based organization whose objective is mainly to provide specialized consulting and financial services to the hospitality industry.
With more than ten years of experience in the industry it has been observed that there is a dire need among owners, investors and managers for an understanding of appraisals, valuation principles, time value concepts of money in order for them to make informed investment or management decisions. It has also been observed that, relatively newer principles of business performance measurement (EVA, BSC, SFO, 6 sigma) have not gained adequate exposure within this industry. HC & FS International specializes in providing an understanding of such issues. It also provides analyses of specific appraisals and helps in implementation of the newer performance models.
Our consultants have been associated with internal audit, external audit, taxation and accounting divisions of the "Big Five" accounting firms. Industry experience includes domestic and international exposure to all aspects of the hospitality industry from investment as well as operational perspectives.
The Principal of the organization, a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), also has an extensive background in public accounting practice and wide-ranging industry experience.
His affiliation with professional organizations includes membership to the CHAE Advisory Council of HFTP. HFTP (Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals) is an organization based out of Austin, Texas, whose purpose is to monitor standards within the industry and incorporate criteria into the CHAE (Certified Hospitality Accountant Executive) designation program to assure professionalism.
